  • 20km - $40 - 10.30am. Will be riding part of Leg 1

LEG INFORMATION

  • LEG 1 - consists of a wide white gravel road leading to Deep Creek Road (about 3km) and then travelling south along Tram Road for 11km. This wide road will make visibility easy for riders. The ride will then follow undulating forestry fire breaks on Cleveland and Locketts Road, returning back down Reservoir Drive to ride base. There are creek crossings and water available on this leg. This leg will be marked with reflective tape and with YELLOW arrows.

  • LEG 2 - starts on the same section as Leg 1, but follows Deep Creek Road for longer. We then head into forestry and eventually end up crossing into Oldina Forest Reserve. This loop is on gravel roads, clay surfaces and about half way through has a fun blast through a blue gum plantation with red dirt underfoot, and we then return back toward the Oldina reserve. After leaving the reserve, we follow Blackfish Creek road up along the fenceline with views of Table Cape and Wynyard. There are three creek crossings on this leg. Take particular care at the first creek crossing. This leg will be marked with RED arrows.

  • The 20km loop is fairly easy! Riders will head out onto Deep Creek Road, cross over and down onto Tram Road, follow that all the way to the end, cross back over Deep Creek Road, and return along Reservoir Drive.

  • Head vet is Debbie Grull, Assistant vet is Andrea Boland.

  • Vetting procedure is VET GATE INTO HOLD. We will do a run through of the vetting procedure for this during briefing on Friday night.
